How Does Your Pet’s Weight Measure Up?
The subject of my poster is the growing problem of pet obesity in the United States. It covers risks of pet obesity, weight reduction methods, as well as being an interactive teaching aid to the viewer.
Laparoscopic Artificial Insemination
My posterboard shows the laparoscopic artificial insemination process. It covers care and preparation of the animal before, during and after the procedure. There is also a report included.
What Are Zoonotic Diseases?
I discuss 15 different zoonotic diseases and cover symptoms, transimission, prevention and treatment. I also included an electronic picture frame that shows pictures of the diseased animals or organisms.
My project is about animals with contracted tendons. I showed what the animals look like, how to put a splint on, and wrote about the causes, preventions and treatments.
Do The Research
My 2013 4-H project is a visual aid and 2-page typed report on zoonotic diseases. I talk about various diseases with their symptoms, cures and characteristics. The aid is for visual enhancement and enjoyment.
Feline Immune Deficiency – Body Systems Response To Immunity Failure In Cats
My one-page outline of a workshop I presented. It describes how feline body systems respond to Feline Immune Deficiency. It educates about the route the antigen takes at a cellular level.

My poster gives awareness to canine Lyme Disease. In the last copule of years, this disease has become more common in canines. This poster also has a chart to identify the kinds of ticks that carry Lyme Disease.

My poster gives all the information needed to successfully artificially inseminate. I have included: things you need, what to watch for, prepping steps, warnings, and advantages. I have also included steps and pictures for this process.
It’s A Zoo Out There!
For my project, I told about ten diseases animals can transmit to people. I explained cause, signs of illness, treatment, and prevention for each disease.
What A Vet Can Do
This interactive project hels to identify different types of vets with what they do. By sliding the nut to a different type of veterinarian it allows for a connection to be made using the wand (continutity tester). If connection is correct the wand will light up.
My poster describes the causes, symptoms, preventative measures, and treatments of feline obesity. It also details many other facts about feline obesity. Such as how it can turn into feline diabetes if you are not careful.
My project teaches different types of zoonotic diseases found in equine. My examples of the Hendra virus, Leptospirosis, and the West Nile virus describe the characteristics in both equine and humans.
Canine Hip Dysplasia
My poster is an overview of the realm of hip dysplasia, specifically in German Shephard Dogs. It covers development, treatment, prevention, genetics and breeder cautions. It also includes why this disease is important to me.
I made a poster about the importance of vaccines, how to administer them to beef, swine, sheep and goats, and other tips for vaccinations.
Wrangle The Strangles
My project consists of a poster and notebook on Strangles. Including findings, results, recommendations and conclusions of this disease in the horse species.
Vet vs Vet Tech
My poster explores the differences between a vet and a vet tech. It allowed me to personally weight the difference and share it with others.
Sheep & Goat LAI
My poster covers the procedure of laproscopic artificial insemination. The poster shows and explains the procedure involved in LAI. Sheep and goats have AI done laproscopically because of their unique cervical anatomy.
I’ve researched symptoms and indicators to look for and possible cures and treatments for bloat.
Obesity in Pets: Size Matters
My teaching aid is about obesity in cats and dogs. It includes how to prevent obesity, what obesity is, what diseases cause obesity, and how you can prevent your pet from becoming obese.
So, You Want To Be A Veterinarian?
This notebook is geared toward kids that are interested in becoming a veterinarian and what they can do to prepare themselves in high school. Also, I talked about my experiences with three local veterinarians and their advice for pre-veterinary students.
Zoonotic Diseases; From Animals To You
My poster provides information on zoonotic diseases in livestock and even pets, with a brief description over what and how the disease gets started. It tells what it is, ways to prevent it, how it’s transmitted to humans, as well as helpful safety tips.
My poster is on how baby piglets are given shots, teeth clipped, tails docked, castration and ear notching. Each process includes an explanation and a picture of the tool used. There is also a typed two-page report on the poster.

My project covers the surgical procedure that is performed on ruminatns, called fistulation. It briefly describes the process, why it is used and how.
The Ins And Outs Of Vet School
My project is a board game. It takes you on a trip through four years of vet school. Up to four people can play this educations game, but be careful! You’ll find that vet school isn’t great if you have a weak stomach!
