Distinguished Veterinary Technician & Technologist Alumni Award

The Distinguished Veterinary Technician & Technologist Alumni Award honors our Veterinary Technology Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science degree alumni for excellence in veterinary technology.

Eligibility

Any veterinary technician, technologist, or veterinary nurse who has been in possession of their Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science degree from Purdue University for more than five years is eligible for the award.

Criteria

The nominee's contributions to the profession may have been made in any of the following areas of excellence:

  1. Practice (clinical, diagnostic, public health, regulatory, military)
  2. Teaching
  3. Research
  4. Service to the profession (involvement in organized veterinary technology, etc.)
  5. Service to the community (a humane, caring, helping attitude toward family, friends, clients and community, including, but not limited to, club work  like Lions, Kiwanis, etc., church, school boards, town councils, political parties)
