Training Opportunity

Farm and Family Day gives the community a glimpse into life at LMU’s College of Veterinary Medicine as well as an introduction to animal health and other aspects of rural life. This event is typically held the last weekend in September, when LMU students, faculty and staff from various campus programs provide hands-on educational activities for children. These activities include tours of the veterinary school facilities, talks with veterinarians, a pet adoption simulation for youth in which children can adopt a toy pet, along with soap making and other crafts.
