Practice Connect
Purdue Veterinary Medicine deeply values its relationships with veterinary practices, while students highly appreciate the access to real-world experiences and career opportunities these partnerships provide. To support both practices and students, we offer the Practice Connect program. This student-led initiative, involving both DVM and Veterinary Technology students, creates opportunities for them to engage with a wide range of practices and gain invaluable professional exposure.
Membership Cost
- Membership cost to join Practice Connect is $1,200 per academic year
- If your practice joins after December 31, 2026, the membership cost will be prorated to $600
Benefits of Membership
- Students have access to your practice's information through our internal portal and the monthly newsletter
- Members are invited to register for the Fall and Spring PVM Career Fair at no cost.
- To participate in the Fall PVM Career Fair, your membership dues must be paid and your registration completed by August 15, 2026.
- Practices that register after August 15, 2026 may still request a table for the Fall PVM Career Fair; however, placement will be based on space availability.
- All members will have priority placement for the Spring PVM Career Fair.
- The SAVMA Practice Connect Social Media Page allows practices to post about their workplace one every week.
- Event Banner — Full-year members practices will have their spotlight on the events banner displayed at special SAVMA events. A portion of you membership sponsors PVM's annual Thanksgiving Dinner, Fur Ball, and the PVM Open House. Practices that have registered after August are not ensured a spot on the banner, pending banner processed and printed.
- The Practice Connect Monthly Newsletter allows practices to be highlighted in our newsletters every month. This has been a great way for students to find internships, 4th year internships, and jobs.
- Joint Networking Event — access to joint networking event opportunities to connect with PVM students.
- Your practice will be added to an exclusive speaker's list that our various student clubs and organizations utilize when looking to invite guest speakers for lunch/dinner & learns or hands-on wet labs. (Note: Due to the high student demand and limited availability of large animal and food animal practices, these specific clinics are permitted to host educational lectures and wet labs regardless of membership status).
Practice Connect student managers will provide coordination of all events and regular communications.
