Purdue Veterinary Medicine deeply values its relationships with veterinary practices, while students highly appreciate the access to real-world experiences and career opportunities these partnerships provide. To support both practices and students, we offer the Practice Connect program. This student-led initiative, involving both DVM and Veterinary Nursing students, creates opportunities for them to engage with a wide range of practices and gain invaluable professional exposure.

Membership Cost

• Membership cost to join Practice Connect is $1,000 per academic year
  • If your practice joins after December 31, 2025, the membership cost will be prorated to $500

• Practice Connect Website—students will have access to your practice’s information 
• Practice Connect Social Media Page—up to one posting per week per practice
• Event Banner—If your academic year membership is paid for by August 12^th then your practice logo will be added to a banner used throughout the year
• Special Event Recognition—if your academic year membership is paid for by August 12^th then a portion of your membership will go towards sponsoring PVM's annual Thanksgiving Dinner, Fur Ball and the PVM Open House where your practice will receive special recognition
• Practice Connect Mini-Career Fair—each practice can attend once per semester and provide a brief information session
• Practice Connect Monthly Newsletter—have your practice highlighted in one of our monthly newsletters
• Joint Networking Event—access to joint networking event opportunities to connect with PVM students
  • If your practice includes Purdue alumni, you will receive exclusive access to a special alumni-only networking event held each semester
• Speaker's List—your practice will be added to a speaker's list that student organizations can use to invite to speakers for lunch/dinner learns or wet labs
• Your Practice Promo Bags—student giveaways up to a $30 value limit
• Practice Informational Flyer—distributed once per semester
• NEW THIS YEAR! Free Registration for the Fall or Spring PVM Career Fair— Practices are invited to register for either the Fall or Spring PVM Career Fair at no cost (a savings of up to $300)
  • To participate in the Fall Career Fair on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, both your Practice Connect membership dues and Career Fair registration must be completed by July 15, 2025. Once you have registered for Practice Connect and paid your annual membership fee, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to register for the Fall Career Fair.
  • Practices that register after the July 15, 2025 deadline may still request a table for the Fall Career Fair; however, placement will be based on space availability
  • Practices that do not pay memberships dues or register by July 15, 2025 or attempt to register for the Fall Career Fair after it has reached capacity, will receive priority placement for the Spring Career Fair (date to be determined)

Practice Connect student managers will provide coordination of all events and regular communications.
