New Clinical Residents Welcomed to Purdue Veterinary Medicine

As the calendar pages turn toward the latter part of summer, it’s time to welcome a new class of residents to the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. On July 16, the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) held a welcome breakfast for the new VCS residents in the Joy Matson room of the Brunner Small Animal Hospital.

Applause, cheers, and waving gold pom-poms greeted members of Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s Class of 2025 as they processed through the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms for the start of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s May Graduation Celebration. The event on Saturday, May 17, which followed the university commencement ceremony in the Elliot Hall of Music, attracted a capacity crowd of family, friends and loved ones.

Purdue VCS Graduate Students Win Awards at Annual American Dairy Science Meeting

Held June 22-25, the conference is billed as a cornerstone event in dairy science, where participants explore the latest research, share innovative practices, and advance the science of dairy.

Summer Break Signals Start of Summer Research for Purdue Veterinary Scholars

A feast of classic Indiana picnic food marked the traditional kick-off for the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Scholars Summer Research Program. The annual program provides an opportunity for Purdue veterinary students as well as undergraduate students from Purdue and other universities to experience what it is like to conduct clinical and basic science research as they work with a faculty mentor to carry out a summer research project.

During a day long program in Lynn Hall on April 15, PVM scholars shared research findings during lectures and poster presentations, and were honored with awards.


PVM White Coat Ceremony Celebrates Major Milestone for DVM Class of 2026

The Purdue Memorial Union ballrooms provided a classic setting for an annual event that has become a cherished tradition of the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Members of the DVM Class of 2026 gathered with family, friends and faculty and staff on the evening of April 12 for the annual White Coat Ceremony that signals the transition of the third year veterinary students from the classroom to the clinics.
