The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual Horseman’s Forum will be returning to Lynn Hall next month, and online registration for the event is now available. The Horseman’s Forum is designed to educate horse owners and equine industry professionals about current horse health issues. Topics for this year’s forum, which will be held Saturday, February 9, include Leptospirosis, wound care, cardiology, acupuncture, advanced imaging, nutrition, and lameness. An equine research update also will be presented.

The one-day program provides attendees with knowledge and insights about horse health issues ranging from basic preventative health care and husbandry topics to state-of-the-art medical advancements, making it applicable to attendees from all educational backgrounds. This year’s schedule also includes optional demonstrations of trailer safety and acupuncture, as well as Large Animal Hospital tours in the Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
