Immune Cells
The Nelli Laboratory develops physiologically relevant co-culture platforms that combine primary immune cells with advanced three-dimensional (3D) organoid systems to better model the complexity of viral infections in vivo. These integrated platforms enable detailed investigation of innate and adaptive immune responses, cellular communication, inflammation, and antiviral defense mechanisms. Leveraging multicolor flow cytometry, high-throughput molecular profiling, and species-specific organoid technologies, we create next-generation experimental models that bridge immunology and organoid biology. Our co-culture systems provide powerful tools for studying disease pathogenesis, evaluating therapeutics, and accelerating the translation of laboratory discoveries into practical solutions for animal and human health.
