During the 2018 SAVMA Symposium last week in Philadelphia, Pa., Purdue VOICE was honored as the recipient of the “Chapter of the Year” Award. The all-encompassing award recognizes a VOICE Chapter that has organized or sponsored many successful events during the academic year, exceeding the programming requirements in terms of quality and quantity, and has continuously supported the development of a positive and welcoming environment within its local and academic communities.

Indiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) Veterinary Diagnostician Craig Bowen gave a presentation at the 2018 Purdue Extension Small Farm Conference on the role the ADDL plays in monitoring the health of farm animals. Dr. Bowen explained why it is important and valuable for small producers to work with a veterinarian.

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine hosted the third Family Program Series for the year on Thursday, March 1, entitled “Breaking through Barriers in the Brain,” featuring a presentation by Dr. Tiffany Lyle, assistant professor of veterinary anatomic pathology in the Department of Comparative Pathobiology.

Taylor nominated the American Standardbred Adoption Program (ASAP), an equine charity in De Soto, Wisc., as the organization that was named the grand-prize winner in the Zoetis Equine Charity Sweepstakes.
