A day set-aside for veterinary technicians and technologists to gather for learning, sharing, and growing is coming Sunday, March 8, when the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine hosts its annual Veterinary Technology Symposium at Lynn Hall. Registration is open for the program that will give veterinary technology students, veterinary assistants and veterinary technology professionals the opportunity to increase their professional knowledge and skills through both small and large animal educational sessions.
More than a series of lectures, the Veterinary Technology Symposium offers opportunities to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from colleagues who understand the challenges and rewards of working in the veterinary medical profession. The program will enable participants to connect with peers, gain practical skills, and hear from experts working at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
Attendees will be able to choose from sessions on topics as varied as exotic anesthesia, canine skin conditions, ultrasonography in equine sports medicine, field anesthesia, and rehabilitation for critical care patients. Real-world case studies and hands-on insights provide knowledge that participants can bring directly into their day-to-day work at veterinary clinics and hospitals.
Attendees are encouraged to plan now to make the most of this unique day-long educational experience. To view the schedule and register, visit the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Technology Symposium website.
