Research
JoAnna completed her BS in Animal Sciences at Purdue University, with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Well-Being and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, she taught high school science in Mission, TX for five years through Teach For America. Teaching was an adventure, but graduate school for Animal Behavior and Welfare has always been a dream for JoAnna and she’s very excited to be here in Dr. Croney’s lab. Her research interests include companion animal behavior and welfare, cognition, and the human-animal bond. In her free time, JoAnna enjoys playing soccer, singing, and training her dog.
