Bioethics and Animal Subject Advocacy
To ensure the bioethical use and welfare of our animals, all studies facilitated by the Pre-Clinical Research Laboratory and the Veterinary Clinical Trials support service have been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) or the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Clinical Studies Committee (VCSC) prior to their start. We provide excellent care for our animals to ensure that we gain the maximum amount of information from every animal used, and that we minimize the potential for discomfort, distress, or pain.
