Dr. Maguire Jackson (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist in the State of Indiana with more than twenty years of clinical experience. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology from the APA-accredited program at The University of Akron and completed both her APA-accredited internship and psychology residency at Purdue University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Maguire Jackson has provided counseling, education, and clinical training to Purdue students, including previously serving as director of the university’s accredited doctoral internship training program at Counseling and Psychological Services. She helps students take purposeful action toward personal and professional goals through a collaborative, compassionate, and intentional approach.
Her work is grounded in strengths-based and trauma-informed principles, honoring diverse identities and life experiences. She integrates cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, and motivational strategies to help students unlock their potential. Her areas of expertise include work-life integration, depression and anxiety, cultural humility, first-generation and non-traditional student concerns, compassion fatigue, grief, substance abuse, clinical training, and holistic health.
Dr. Maguire Jackson is committed to lifelong learning in service of inclusive counseling practices. Outside of work, she recharges by spending time outdoors—especially near water—and enjoying adventures with her family and her dogs. Her office is located in LYNN 1265.
