Dr. Maguire Jackson (she/her/hers) is a licensed psychologist in the State of Indiana. She completed her master’s and doctoral degrees from the APA-accredited counseling psychology program at The University of Akron and her APA-accredited internship and psychology residency at Purdue University. With over twenty years of experience, she has spent the last sixteen providing counseling, education, and clinical training to students at Purdue as she previously directed the accredited clinical training program at Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. Maguire Jackson works with students to take decisive action toward personal and professional goals by emphasizing compassion, intentionality, and active collaboration. Her approach is fundamentally strengths-based and trauma-informed, honoring diverse identities and life experiences. She uses cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, and motivational interventions to help students unlock their potential. Areas of clinical interest and experience include work-life integration, depression and anxiety, cultural humility, first-generation and non-traditional student concerns, compassion fatigue, grief, substance abuse, clinical training, and holistic health. She is committed to life-long learning aimed at promoting anti-racist and inclusive counseling. To maintain her own wellbeing, Dr. Maguire Jackson enjoys being outside – near any body of water, and having adventures with her family and her dog, Coco. Her office is located in LYNN 1245.
