The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (PACUC) is responsible for ensuring that all animals used in research, teaching, and testing procedures are treated humanely and in accordance with the Federal Animal Welfare Regulations, the PHS “Policy on the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals,” the ILAR Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and all other applicable government regulations. 

If you witness or suspect any violations of these regulations or have any questions or concerns about the specific use of animals at or in association with Purdue University, you are encouraged to contact:

Reports will be handled confidentially and may be submitted anonymously. All reports will be reviewed by the committee. No employee or student of the University will be subject to reprisal for reporting suspected violations.
