Student Attire for Clinical Courses and Labs

The following attire is required for students in the veterinary medical program.

  1. Smocks (of a common color) in all BMS, VCS and CPB laboratories.
  2. Coveralls and rubber boots for necropsy and large animal teaching hospital.
  3. Examination room coats of a common style and color and professional attire in small animal teaching hospital receiving.
  4. Scrub suits for small animal and large animal surgery.
  5. Name tags.

The following attire is required for students in the veterinary nursing program. 

  • 2nd year students: Teal scrub top & warm-up jacket, khaki cargo pants, and scrub suits
  • 3rd year students: Navy scrub top & warm-up jacket, khaki cargo pants, and scrub suits.
  • 4th year students: Burgundy scrub top & warm-up jacket, khaki cargo pants, and scrub suits.
  • All Veterinary Nursting students: name tag, coveralls, and boots when appropriate.

Colors and styles are to be approved by the Faculty Committee based upon recommendation of the departments involved.
