  • communication
  • intimacy/closeness

Together you can identify and negotiate your needs and expectations for the relationship. Practicing new strategies for self-expression, hearing each other’s needs, and connection will likely strengthen the relationship, while supporting your personal growth and wellbeing.

  • approach someone you are concerned about
  • open up communication about a difficult subject or in an intimidating context
  • resolve conflicts
  • check in for self-assurance and validation

Referrals

Our counselors can provide referrals for services we do not offer, including:

  • medication management
  • comprehensive ADHD evaluation
  • learning disability assessments
  • students needing accommodations
  • more intensive or longer-term care

If you are seeking medication in particular, please see CAPS Psychiatry. You will need a referral from a therapist to schedule an appointment for medication at CAPS.

Emotional Support Animals

We sometimes receive requests for documentation for an Emotional Support Animal (ESA). Please note that while we honor the comfort found in companionship with a pet, ESA assessments and evaluations are outside the scope of the services we can provide.
