The Food Animal Club provides students interested in food animal medicine with the opportunity to learn about current issues facing food animal veterinarians and different aspects of the profession.
Meetings provide good food and one-on-one interaction between the students and the speaker.
Membership in this club enables the student to attend the annual AABP meeting in the fall and AASV meeting in the spring at minimal cost to the student. This is made possible by our major fund-raising event, the Food Tent, during the annual Vet School Open House in April, in which we also host a Petting Zoo.
Rounds are held every other week with a clinician in the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital to discuss interesting cases and provide a real-life view of the profession.
We are a fun club and are always welcome to new members! Feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions.
