Open House Draws Public to Purdue Veterinary Medicine on Spring Fest Weekend

Friday, April 5th, 2024 - Next weekend, Saturday, April 13, the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine will host the annual Open House as part of Purdue’s Spring Fest weekend, attracting hundreds of visitors of all ages to Lynn Hall. Spring Fest is a free and inclusive festival open to all, featuring activities at 36 sites across campus.



Dogs and Joggers Return in 2022 to Continue Beloved Purdue Veterinary Conference Tradition

Friday, July 29th, 2022 - What scene could be more heartwarming than dozens of runners and their canine companions embarking on a 5k Fun Run/Walk on a Saturday morning in front of Lynn Hall at the conclusion of the Purdue Veterinary Conference? Next month, for the first time since the pandemic, that scene once again will come to life as faculty, staff, students, alumni and members of the local community, and their dogs, participate in the Dr. Skip Jackson Dog Jog.

ICAN Founder Speaks about Healing Role of Assistance Dogs at Public Lecture

Friday, September 14th, 2018 - “What prisoner’s dogs and people with disabilities tell us about the healing role of assistance dogs” is the topic of a public lecture at Purdue University Tuesday evening, September 18, featuring the founder of ICAN – the Indiana Canine Assistant Network. Dr. Sally Irvin will give the Elanco Human-Animal Bond Lecture, which is held in conjunction with the annual Purdue Veterinary Conference hosted by the College of Veterinary Medicine.



Purdue Veterinary Conference Starts Tuesday

Friday, September 14th, 2018 - After months of planning and preparation, the 2018 Purdue Veterinary Conference begins next week. The majority of the conference sessions and special events will take place in the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center. The conference starts Tuesday, September 18 and runs through Saturday, September 22.
