PVM Faculty Promotions Approved by Purdue Board of Trustees

Five faculty in the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine were among those recognized by Purdue University’s Board of Trustees at its meeting on Friday, April 8, when the board approved Purdue system-wide faculty promotions effective with the 2022-2023 academic year. The College of Veterinary Medicine faculty members receiving promotions, effective July 1, 2022, are:

To Clinical Associate Professor

  • Dr. Bethany Funnell, clinical associate professor of bovine theriogenology in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences
  • Dr. Sarah Steinbach, clinical associate professor of small animal internal medicine in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences
  • Dr. Julianne Stout, clinical associate professor of medicine in the Department of Veterinary Administration

To Full Professor

  • Dr. Tim Bentley, professor of neurology and neurosurgery in the Department Veterinary Clinical Sciences
  • Dr. Wendy Townsend, professor of ophthalmology in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences

The importance of scientific discovery and the research contributions of veterinary students, graduate students, residents, and faculty alike, were recognized during the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual PVM Research Day this spring. During a day long program in Lynn Hall on April 15, PVM scholars shared research findings during lectures and poster presentations, and were honored with awards.
