In Memory – Retired PVM Faculty Member Diane Bevier

Veterinary dermatologist Diane Bevier served on the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences faculty from 1999 until she retired in 2013.

Dr. Diane Bevier, retired Purdue Veterinary Medicine clinical professor of dermatology, passed away Thursday, March 1. She was 64.  A DVM graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Bevier joined the faculty of PVM’s Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences in 1999.  She was promoted to clinical professor in 2007.  Before coming to Purdue, Dr. Bevier served on the faculty of the Department of Companion Animal and Special Species Medicine at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She retired in 2013.

In addition to loving animals, Dr. Bevier enjoyed painting, gardening and playing oboe.  She is remembered for her sense of humor, kindness, generosity, and love of music.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Purdue Veterinary Teaching Hospital (contact the PVM Advancement Office or go to https://vet.purdue.edu/giving) or the ASPCA.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com.

Dr. Melinda (Mindy) Anderson, clinical associate professor of basic medical sciences, was appointed to the position effective August 1.
