In Memory: Dr. Eric David Frazer (PU DVM ’91)

A Purdue Veterinary Medicine alumnus, Dr. Eric David Frazer, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4. He was 55.

A native of Indianapolis, Dr. Frazer earned his Purdue DVM degree in 1991, and went into private practice in the Indianapolis area.  He practiced both general and emergency veterinary medicine and in 2000, started his own practice, the Hamilton Crossing Animal Hospital in Westfield.

Dr. Frazer is remembered as a veterinarian who loved every kind of animal from the tiniest reptile to the largest house pet. When asked what he considered the favorite part of his job, he replied that he enjoyed educating people on how their pets could live healthier and better lives.

Outside of work, Dr. Frazer enjoyed traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach. He also loved cars and had an eclectic collection.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, with services immediately following at 7:00 p.m., at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN 46062. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, 10501 Hague Road, Fishers, IN 46038; or Community Cats of Hamilton County.
