Career Fair Connects PVM Students with Future Opportunities

Close to 75 veterinary medical employers, ranging from individual veterinary practices to corporate enterprises, sent representatives to Purdue University for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s annual Career Fair for DVM and Veterinary Technology students. Held in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms Friday afternoon, September 19, the event attracted a strong turnout of students excited to learn about future career opportunities.

Purdue Veterinary Conference Proves Popular as Overall Attendance Tops 1,000

Strong turnout characterized the 2025 Purdue Veterinary Conference with the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine welcoming more than 1,000 participants to the annual event. Held September 16–20 on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, the annual continuing education conference for veterinary professionals attracted more than 240 veterinarians and 180 veterinary technicians/veterinary nurses, along with industry representatives and exhibitors as well as Purdue Veterinary Medicine faculty, staff, and students.
PVM Scholars Co-edit New Edition of Signature Veterinary Histology Textbook

A new edition of a time-tested and influential veterinary work is on the market thanks to the scholarly efforts of two Purdue Veterinary Medicine faculty members and their team of U.S. and international experts from multiple veterinary schools. “Dellmann’s Textbook of Veterinary Histology” is an essential resource connecting the microscopic world of cells and tissues to the broader understanding of anatomy and physiology in domestic animals.

Purdue Alumnus and Boarded Oncology Specialist Named as New Interim Associate Dean for Hospital Operations

Dr. Christopher Fulkerson, clinical associate professor of veterinary medical oncology, has been named as the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s new interim associate dean for hospital operations. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced Monday, September 8 by the dean of the college, Dr. Bret D. Marsh.
PVM and Indiana ADDL Representatives Connect with Poultry Industry at ISPA Golf Outing

An important annual event for the Indiana poultry industry took place this week and the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine had a visible presence to demonstrate its commitment to poultry producers. The event was the Indiana State Poultry Association (ISPA) annual Johndrew Memorial Golf Outing that was held Wednesday, September 10 at the Fort Golf Course at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis.
