Purdue Alumnus and Boarded Oncology Specialist Named as New Interim Associate Dean for Hospital Operations

Dr. Christopher Fulkerson, clinical associate professor of veterinary medical oncology, has been named as the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s new interim associate dean for hospital operations. The appointment, effective immediately, was announced Monday, September 8 by the dean of the college, Dr. Bret D. Marsh.


PVM and Indiana ADDL Representatives Connect with Poultry Industry at ISPA Golf Outing

An important annual event for the Indiana poultry industry took place this week and the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine had a visible presence to demonstrate its commitment to poultry producers. The event was the Indiana State Poultry Association (ISPA) annual Johndrew Memorial Golf Outing that was held Wednesday, September 10 at the Fort Golf Course at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis.


In Memory:  Former PVM Lab Instructor Pamela Hartman

The Purdue Veterinary Medicine community is saddened to learn of the passing of a former Department of Comparative Pathobiology lab instructor, Pamela (Pam) K. Hartman, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Lafayette, who passed away at her home Saturday, September 6. She was 77.

Purdue Veterinary Medicine Welcomes New Students

As the heat and long days of summer subsided and the start of a new school year approached, the sense of excitement and new beginnings pervaded Lynn Hall over the last couple of weeks with the arrival of Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s new DVM and Veterinary Technology students. The DVM students in the Class of 2029 participated in a week-long onboarding program that started Monday, August 18, while the Veterinary Technology students in the first and second years of the program were welcomed with an Ice Cream Social and orientation program at the start of the fall semester.


Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine Names New Senior Director of Admissions and Student Success

A key Purdue Veterinary Medicine staff member who has played a vital role in admissions and recruitment will now serve as the new senior director of admissions and student success. Lori Stout has been promoted to the position and Dean Bret Marsh announced the appointment Tuesday, August 26.


Purdue Veterinary Technician and College of Pharmacy Graduate Named New PVM Assistant Dean for the Veterinary Technology Program

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine has named an alumna and longtime Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), who also holds a PharmD degree and serves on the college’s faculty, as the new assistant dean for the Purdue Veterinary Technology Program. Dr. Melinda (Mindy) Anderson, clinical associate professor of basic medical sciences, was appointed to the position effective August 1.
