In Memory: Dr. Lisa Rozgony (PU DVM ‘76)

A Purdue Veterinary Medicine alumna, Dr. Lisa Rozgony, passed away May 17 in Boynton Beach, Fla.  She was 67.

Born and raised in Terre Haute, Ind., Dr. Rozgony earned her Purdue DVM degree in 1976, before moving to South Florida, where she had a long and fulfilling career working at her practice, East Oakland Animal Hospital, in Ft. Lauderdale.  Known for her love of animals, Dr. Rozgony had a variety of interests and in particular anxiously awaited the weekly arrival of the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle. She also loved cooking and traveling, and had a special fondness for Assisi, Italy. Dr. Rozgony is remembered for her kindness and compassion to all, a lively and somewhat colorful sense of humor, and enormous generosity of spirit.

Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of life is planned in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Click here to view a complete obituary, sign a virtual guestbook, and share remembrances.
