Express Your Creativity through PVM’s Monthly Photo Contest

The Purdue Veterinary Medicine Communications Team is launching the PVM Photo Contest! The contest will be conducted monthly via Instagram, providing an opportunity for the College’s students, faculty, and staff to show off their creativity. Each month will feature a different theme.  On the last day of each month, three winners will be announced. The first place winner will receive a $20 Amazon gift card and all three submissions will be posted on PVM’s social media platforms.

Participation is easy.  The first contest is this month!  To enter:

  1. Post a photo on Instagram with the theme “My Pet and I”
  2. Tag the photo with #FebruaryPUCVMContest #MyPetandI
  3. Tag and follow @pucvm on Instagram

Submissions will be evaluated based on the quality of the content and relevance to the theme of the month, not on the number of likes received. Please be aware that the content submitted may be shared by PVM on social media platforms, even if it is not one of the top three.

In Memory – Dr. Raymond E. Plue (PU DVM ’68)

The Purdue Veterinary Medicine community is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Raymond E. Plue, who was a generous, fun-loving, adventuresome and larger-than-life alumnus. Dr. Plue passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Columbia, Missouri. He was 81.

Annual Dr. Skip Jackson Dog Jog grows in participation and dollars raised

The numbers are in from the 2026 Dr. Skip Jackson Dog Jog and they paint a beautiful picture of a very successful event, both in terms of the number of human and canine participants and the funds raised for Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s Priority 4 Paws shelter medicine program. Beautiful weather and the enthusiasm of both dogs and runners contributed to the fun and excitement of the annual 5K run/walk, which generated numerous fun photo ops and raised significant funds for a good cause.
