Dr. Sandra San Miguel (PU DVM ’93; PhD ’97), Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s associate dean for engagement, is featured in Purdue’s “Footprints” video blog as part of the 150th Anniversary celebration.

As part of its 150th Anniversary celebration, Purdue University has created the “Footprints” video blog to tell stories about the “Giant Leaps” that Boilermakers have made, are making, or plan to make.  The newest video shines the spotlight on Dr. Sandra San Miguel (PU DVM ’93; PhD ’97), Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s associate dean for engagement.  The video focuses on how Dr. San Miguel took a “Giant Leap” by taking charge of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s outreach programs after years of teaching as a professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, and now is leaving her footprint in the lives of children by inspiring them to develop an interest in caring for animals. The Footprints blog is described as a collection of individual videos showcasing the stories of people who have done well by Purdue and by whom Purdue has done well.  The blog is accessible through the University’s 150 Years of Giant Leaps website.

During a day long program in Lynn Hall on April 15, PVM scholars shared research findings during lectures and poster presentations, and were honored with awards.
