The numbers tell the story – the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine is progressing toward its goal of raising $18,080 as part of the Purdue University United Way fund drive this fall.  “We are getting closer to our goal, thanks to your generous donations!” That was the message shared with PVM faculty and staff by the college’s United Way campaign team leads – Purdue University Veterinary Hospital Team Lead Terri Donald, senior administrative assistant, and PVM Division Lead Angela Pickett, executive assistant to the dean.  “Let’s keep the momentum going, give today, encourage others to give, and participate in fun incentive activities.”

To date the college is more than three-fourths of the way to its goal, with nearly $13,800 raised so far, which will count toward the overall Purdue University United Way campaign goal of $725,000. Meanwhile, the University total to date has reached more than $314,000. To further help the college reach its goal, PVM faculty and staff are asked to challenge themselves and their office teammates to establish a set amount to contribute to the United Way Campaign. Another option is participating in incentive activities and a silent auction, which runs through October 28.  Items up for bid in the online auction include a Purdue Union Club Hotel stay, Exercise Package, Wellness Packages, Gift Certificates, Professional Hand Painted Portraits, a Coffee Basket, and much more.

Start bidding, or track how your bids are doing now on the Silent Auction 2022!

It’s easy to give to the college campaign, whether through an incentive activity or via the Purdue United Way campaign website.  And even declining to give counts as a response, and helps the college as it seeks to achieve a 100-percent participation rate.

Additionally, faculty and staff can choose from a list of fun activities to raise money for the college’s United Way Campaign.  Visit United Way Campaign Activity Ideas to indicate the activities you would be interested in.  If at least ten people indicate they would like to participate in one of the suggested activities, the fun will begin!

So, take action today to join the effort to help create a stronger community by participating in the United Way campaign.  If you have any questions regarding United Way or the incentive/fundraiser, please contact Terri Donald at tdonald@purdue.edu or Angela Pickett, angela@purdue.edu.
