Summit Overview

The Iverson Bell Midwest Regional Diversity Summit is a collaboration among Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. The Iverson Bell Midwest Regional Diversity Summit is designed for faculty, staff, and students to develop their cultural competency and support a diverse and inclusive academic environment. The 2018 Summit will focus on learning to have planned, and in the moment, courageous conversations in the context of the curriculum, student affairs, and institutional culture.

Zoetis Diversity and Inclusion Awards

On Saturday May 19, two faculty/staff from a Midwest Regional College of Veterinary Medicine will be honored with Zoetis Diversity and Inclusion Awards, consisting of a crystal plaque and a $500 monetary prize for each recipient. The recipients are chosen for their contributions towards supporting progress in achieving diversity and inclusion in their respective institutions.

Friday - May 18, 2018: Events are in the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center. The Grant Street garage is the closest parking area with visitor access. There is a fee to park in this garage unless you are a patron of the Union Club hotel. The address for the garage is 120 N. Grant St., West Lafayette, IN 47906.

Saturday & Sunday – May 19-20, 2018: Events are located in Lynn Hall at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine. The address is 625 Harrison St. West Lafayette, IN 47907. Parking is available in surface lots north of Lynn Hall at the corner of University St. and Harrison St., as well as on the east side of Lynn Hall at the corner of Marsteller St. and Harrison St.

When driving to Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, allow plenty of travel time for parking and busy campus streets. Before 7:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on Saturday and Sunday, parking is free in the garages or surface lots unless marked otherwise. Please do not park in spots marked for Veterinary Teaching Hospital clients.

If you are flying, Indianapolis International Airport (IND) will be the closest international airport.
