Cheryl is an Instructional Technologist for the Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning (VNDL) program. Her passion for horses led her to pursue an A.A.S. in Equine Science and Management from Morrisville State College. After working in the equine industry, she developed a strong interest in veterinary medicine and earned an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Ulster. To further her education and enhance her teaching abilities, she earned a B.S. in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College.
Cheryl has worked as an equine veterinary technician in both private hospitals and academia, gaining extensive experience with large animals and developing a particular interest in small ruminants. She has taught veterinary technology students both online and on campus and is passionate about mentoring those who share her love for veterinary medicine. She enjoys fostering their growth and confidence to help prepare them for successful careers in the field.
Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her Golden Retrievers, training them for dog agility, and traveling to competitions.
