Dr. Wendy Beauvais

Dr. Wendy Beauvais joined the Department of Comparative Pathobiology, PVM in 2020 as an Assistant Professor in One Health. She earned her veterinary degree and PhD in infectious disease epidemiology from the Royal Veterinary College (University of London, UK). In between, she also worked in rural mixed practice in Shropshire (UK) for two years and completed an MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology run jointly by the Royal Veterinary College and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She received her postdoctoral training at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, New York. She is also a Diplomate of the European College for Veterinary Public Health and sits on the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Public Health. In her research, she uses epidemiological approaches to understand and find solutions to human, animal, and ecosystem health challenges, with a particular focus on mathematical modeling and infectious disease epidemiology.
