Join fellow scientists at Purdue University for the inaugural Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Seminar Series hosted by the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and Institute for Drug Discovery and attend our annual conference.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration, 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur annually in the US, resulting in 35,000 deaths. Combating AMR requires multifaceted efforts in both the healthcare and veterinary sectors.
In response to this critical public health threat, scientists at Purdue University are working together to increase awareness and discover solutions for advanced diagnostics, treatment, and prevention.
Save the date! Join us February 27–28, 2024 at the 2024 Purdue University Antimicrobial Resistance Conference to learn about and discuss the latest advancements and multidisciplinary approaches to combating this global public health threat.
Seminars will be held every other Wednesday at noon in the Conference Room of the Institute for Drug Discovery. The seminar series is organized with support from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Basic Medical Sciences.
