Eight-Semester Pathway to Success

The eight semester pathway is the official Plan of Study in the Purdue University Course Catalog. This is an eight semester plan where the student takes classes in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

  • It is important for you to know that most financial aid requires a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester.
  • You should plan for 3-5 hours of study time/credit hour/week.
  • If you work full-time, you may want to consider the additional time management challenges of this pathway.
  • You may want to evaluate family priorities and other time commitments in your life.
  • We want you to be aware that the Veterinary Technology Distance Learning Program is a rigorous science-based program and that it is a myth that distance learning courses are easy.
