Carmella awaits guests at the “Kissing Booth,” which was part of the PVM display at the Purdue Resource Fair held in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballroom Thursday, September 27. Carmella was joined by (left-right) PVM Wellness Clinician Lori Corriveau and 4th year veterinary students Mary Jordan and Susan Byerley.

Purdue employees who attended the Purdue Resource Fair Thursday, September 27, in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom were able to learn about Purdue Veterinary Medicine at a booth that featured Carmella, the mixed-breed dog belonging to Dr. Paulo Gomes, clinical assistant professor of dermatology.  Carmella helped greet guests as they came up to the booth hosted by Small Animal Primary Care (SAPC) representatives including Dr. Lori Corriveau, wellness clinician, and fourth-year veterinary students participating in the SAPC rotation Mary Jordan and Sydney Byerley.  The SAPC team was on-hand to educate visitors about Lyme disease and the importance of flea and tick preventatives and to answer other veterinary questions.  The annual Resource Fair is sponsored by the Administrative and Professional Staff Advisory Committee (APSAC) and Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee (CSSAC).
