PVM Faculty among Honorees Recognized at Purdue Faculty Years of Service Luncheon

Purdue University honored more than 300 faculty members, including 17 from the College of Veterinary Medicine, for their years of service during a celebratory luncheon December 3. Faculty members were recognized for service anniversaries ranging from 10 to as many as 55 years. The event was held in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom.

The following PVM faculty members were honored for service anniversaries that ranged from ten to 40 years:

10 years

Congratulations to all of the PVM faculty honorees!

The longest-serving faculty members to be recognized at the luncheon were Robert Spitzer, associate professor of materials engineering, and Robert Jacko, professor of civil engineering, who both reached their 55-year service anniversaries this year.

The luncheon also commemorated the 60th anniversary of the University Senate, which serves in an advisory capacity to help achieve the educational objectives of the university. It is made up of elected members of the Purdue faculty as well as the presidents of Purdue Student Government and Purdue Graduate Student Government.

During a day long program in Lynn Hall on April 15, PVM scholars shared research findings during lectures and poster presentations, and were honored with awards.
