Today we share appreciation for Dr. Madeleine Swindell, who is a Purdue Veterinary Hospital Small Animal Rotating Intern. A staff member said, “Sending sincere gratitude to Dr. Madeleine Swindell for sharing her time with third-year veterinary students. Dr. Swindell participated in a panel discussion focused on the complexities of end-of-life care, euthanasia, and grief and loss. Her thoughtful insights on navigating ethical dilemmas, effective client communication, emotional realities in veterinary practice and her unique clinical experiences were deeply appreciated and provided valuable perspective to all who attended.”

Purdue Veterinary Medicine Bids Fond Farewell to Visiting Students from Japan

The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine’s partnership with two veterinary schools in Japan was recognized last week when the college hosted a reception honoring visiting students from Kitasato University and Rakuno University. The Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine has named an alumna and longtime Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), who also holds a PharmD degree and serves on the college’s faculty, as the new assistant dean for the Purdue Veterinary Technology Program. Dr. Melinda (Mindy) Anderson, clinical associate professor of basic medical sciences, was appointed to the position effective August 1.
