Intermediate Care

The new intermediate care unit provides step-down care for animals that need monitoring but are not critically ill, such as patients receiving intravenous fluid therapy or pain medication following surgery. This allows the ICU team to focus on the most severely ill patients. The intermediate care ward also has several dog runs, a separate room for cats, a central nurses’ station, and direct access to an outside area.
