Meet Emily!

In this course, you'll follow the journey of Emily, a fictional backyard poultry owner from Indiana. Emily faces a concerning challenge—some of her birds might be getting sick. She discovers that an infectious poultry disease could be the cause, prompting her to take action to protect her flock.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify and describe common poultry diseases.
  • Explain prevention strategies on backyard poultry farms, including biosecurity measures, to mitigate these diseases.
