Dr. Sarah Reega is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Human Animal Partnerships and Interactions Lab at the Center for the Human-Animal Bond. Sarah’s research areas of interest include equine-assisted services, horse-human interactions, equine behavior and welfare, and, widely, biopsychosocial impacts of human-animal interactions. As an equine-assisted services professional, Sarah strives to integrate research and practice in human-animal interactions. Sarah holds a background in Higher Education student services and academic policy, alongside experience teaching and mentoring students in academic, research, and professional certification contexts. Furthermore, Sarah is an active equestrian competitor and coach, which helps her integrate field-based experience to a laboratory setting.
