Dr. Erin Wilson, DVM is an Equine Field Veterinarian for Cargill Animal Nutrition, representing Nutrena & ProElite throughout the Midwest, as well as a practicing equine veterinarian in central Indiana at McDavitt Veterinary Clinic. She is a graduate of Purdue University, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2004 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2008 with highest honors, specializing in equine medicine. She is a lifetime horse enthusiast with a strong passion for the equine industry, with a commitment to promoting optimal equine health and client education. Her special practice interests include equine nutrition, performance horse medicine and lameness, and internal medicine.
Dr. Wilson professionally consults on equine nutrition with equine veterinarians, farm managers, trainers, and horse owners and has been a guest speaker at industry events, veterinary conferences, and veterinary schools. She is an active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, Indiana Association of Equine Practitioners, and American Veterinary Medical Association, serves on the Board of Directors for the Purdue Veterinary Alumni Association and Indiana Association of Equine Practitioners, and has served as an alumni mentor for students in Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine and School of Agriculture programs. Dr. Wilson resides in Atlanta, IN with her husband and sons, on a farm where they have acreage in hay production, enjoy western performance Quarter Horses, sports, and spending time as a family doing a variety of outdoor activities.
