Registration Deadline Nears for Iverson Bell Regional Diversity Summit

The 2016 Iverson Bell Regional Diversity Summit, co-sponsored by the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, will focus on identifying ways to explore the concepts of diversity and inclusiveness within the classroom. The event will be held May 20-22 at MSU's Henry Center in East Lansing, Mich. The last date for online registration is May 8, 2016.

The Summit is for participants and stakeholders in the future of academic veterinary medicine. If you share the belief that intercultural competence and an ability to practice veterinary medicine in a diverse, multicultural environment is a MUST for future graduates, this Summit is for you. Also during the Summit, the recipient of the Midwest Regional Diversity and Inclusion Award will be recognized. The award was established to recognize and honor faculty and/or staff of the colleges and schools of veterinary medicine in the Midwest region who have shown exemplary dedication to the advancement of diversity and inclusion, thereby supporting an academic environment that is welcoming, inclusive and conducive to the success of all faculty, staff and students.
