Register Now!

It’s that time of year! Registration is now open for the 2016 Purdue Veterinary Conference, Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s annual event that provides Continuing Education (CE) opportunities for the entire veterinary team.  The 2016 schedule features Exotics and Vet Tech Specialty – Physical Therapy Tracks, as well as sessions on Bovine, Equine, Food Animal, Professional Development, Shelter Medicine, Small Animal, and other topics of interest for Veterinary Technicians.  DVMs and Veterinary Technicians will also have the chance for hands-on training with workshops and labs including the Small Mammal Dental Lab and Interactive Workshop – “More to Me than What You See, Cultural Diversity and the Changing Face of Veterinary Medicine.” Some of the workshops and labs have a limited number of available spaces, so be sure to sign up soon! All conference sessions and special events will be held on the Purdue West Lafayette campus. Click here to view the preliminary program

Are you searching for a way to push your career to the next level? Learn more about the Veterinary Practice Management Program (VPMP) during the conference! Developed by Purdue University's Krannert School of Management and College of Veterinary Medicine, the Veterinary Practice Management Program (VPMP) combines more than 25 years of management experience specifically tailored to veterinary practice. It is an intensive, four-module program offering hands-on, graduate-level instruction, and networking for the whole veterinary team. There will be a special Human Resources Open House Friday, September 30, offering a sneak peek for conference attendees who want to know more.

The Purdue Veterinary Conference wouldn’t be complete without a host of special events and lectures, like the Dr. Jack and Naomi Stockton Lecture to be presented by Dr. Debbie White (PU DVM ’94). Register for special events like the Awards Celebration Dinner on Wednesday and join us in celebrating our tremendous alumni and faculty with even more great faculty teaching and research awards. Dean’s Club members can celebrate the College’s success their support creates at this special event. As part of PVM’s homecoming, we’ll recognize the Class of 1966 as they celebrate their Golden Anniversary at Thursday’s Meet Me @ the Mixer event. Graduates of the classes of 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 are also celebrating reunion years. Also, special to the Mixer event this year, join us as we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Purdue Veterinary Medicine’s Veterinary Technology Program! As part of the 40th Anniversary festivities, we’re seeking nominations for a representative from each of the 40 Purdue Veterinary Technology graduating classes.  Also, don’t miss the PVAA-sponsored hot buffet breakfast during the Dr. Roger L. Lukens Lecture on Wednesday morning to kick off the anniversary festivities.  Click here for additional information on the nominations and Veterinary Technology celebration activities.

View and sort these activities and more using the Office of Lifelong Learning’s interactive schedule online.  Sort by speaker, track or event for descriptions and additional details.
