IVMA Recognizes Recent PVM Graduate with Achievement Award

February 19, 2016

Purdue Veterinary Medicine alumna Lindsey Hedges (PU DVM 2011), of Lebanon, Ind., was honored by the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association for her accomplishments as a recent graduate.  Dr. Hedges received the IVMA’s Achievement Award, which is presented to an IVMA member who has graduated within the last five years and displayed outstanding accomplishments in veterinary research, civic activities, academia, and/or organized veterinary medicine.

Dr. Hedges became involved in organized veterinary medicine immediately upon earning her Purdue DVM degree in 2011.  Among other things, she participated in the Power of 10 leadership program and is currently the program facilitator for the 2015 class.  Additionally, just last month, she attended the AVMA Veterinary Leadership Conference as an emerging leader in the profession.  Dr. Hedges owns Pleasant Paws Veterinary Care in Lebanon, Ind.  The Achievement Award was presented during the IVMA Annual Meeting earlier this month in Indianapolis.
