ACVS Honors Dr. Kathy Salisbury

Purdue Veterinary Medicine Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Small Animal Surgery S. Kathleen Salisbury has been recognized by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) Foundation as an Honored Mentor. A certificate conferring the recognition states, "Your colleagues have acknowledged the outstanding mentorship and support that you provided them during their professional development. The ACVS Foundation is proud to award you the distinction of Honored Mentor."
Asked what the recognition means to her, Dr. Salisbury responded, "Teaching is my passion and training residents is my favorite type of teaching. I love to see young surgeons grow in their knowledge, skills, judgment and confidence." Dr. Salisbury added, "I have had the privilege of participating in the training of a stellar group of dedicated surgeons. My residents have pushed me to continually become a better surgeon and teacher. I am deeply honored and humbled to be recognized as an important mentor to them." Congratulations Dr. Salisbury!
