Horseman’s Forum Continues as a Popular Wintertime Equine CE Program

Horse enthusiasts can plan again to take in top quality continuing education in the middle of winter at the 2016 Purdue Veterinary Medicine Horseman’s Forum, which will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016.  The annual day-long workshop at Lynn Hall has proven to be very popular with 225 in attendance this past February. The attendees came from all across Indiana as well as Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio. Several organizations took advantage of group registration discounts that were offered, including Billy Reeves Stable of West Point, Ind., Culver Academy of Culver, Ind., the Indianapolis Mounted Police, Bridle Creek Stables of Arcadia, Ind., and the Golden Spur Saddle Club of Lebanon, Ind. Attendees heard talks by 11 speakers, including nine PVM faculty members. The presentations covered such topics as Vaccinations, Horse Anatomy, Pre-purchase Examination, Dentistry, Arthritis, and Trailering Safety.

The 2016 Horseman’s Forum promises to be just as good offering up to six continuing education (CE) credits.  The program is organized by a committee of equine faculty.  Click here to view a promotional post-card.  On-line registration will open in November.
