Save the Date - March 1, 2015 - Small Animal Veterinary Technology Symposium

August 6, 2014

Veterinary Technicians should be sure to mark Sunday, March 1, 2015 on their calendars.  That’s the date when the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine will be hosting its first Veterinary Technician Symposium at Lynn Hall.

The lecturers will include Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS) in the areas of Small Animal Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Clinical Practice, and Anesthesia.  The program also will feature a presentation by the honorary speaker, Dr. Lynn Guptill, PVM associate professor of small animal internal medicine, who specializes in infectious diseases.  Additionally, there will be a lunch and learn panel discussion about the VTS process for anyone interested in pursuing a specialty.  Technician assistants and students as well as those who are experienced veterinary technicians are all welcome.  The College hopes to make this an annual event.  Look for registration information coming soon.  Up to 7 continuing education (CE) credits will be offered for this symposium.
