Open House Draws Crowds to Lynn Hall

May 7, 2014

Purdue Veterinary Medicine students planned something for everyone at the 2014 Open House.  On Saturday, April 12, visitors flocked to Lynn Hall in the midst of beautiful spring weather conditions to see animals at the Petting Zoo, dress up like veterinarians, enjoy interactive exhibits, see a horse run on the high-speed equine treadmill and take tours of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  The Food Animal and Equine Clubs also benefitted from funds raised at the Food Tent, which sold-out before the festivities ended.  A committee of student volunteers, led by Co-Chairs Katie Bennett and Ashley Bernacchi, both of the DVM Class of 2015, organized the event, which was held in conjunction with Purdue’s Spring Fest.  Displays organized by veterinary technology program students and students in the IU School of Medicine – Lafayette also proved very popular.  To see a video recap of the day, click here.  To view more photos, click here.
