Elanco and PVM Partner to Bring New Online CE Topics

August 6, 2014

All licensed Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians are required to regularly renew their licenses by completing the appropriate number of Continuing Education (CE) credits.  Often times, professionals find it difficult to leave their jobs to fulfill these CE requirements.  With growing concern for travel costs and time away from one’s place of employment, more and more people are seeking the option of distance learning. The improvement of technology and widespread access to the internet has opened the door for online course development.

To meet this need and to fill a void in some of the topics currently available online, Purdue Veterinary Medicine (PVM) and Elanco Animal Health (Elanco) have partnered to create the Elanco / PVM Online Continuing Education Series for Industry Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians.  The goal of this program is to develop and make available online, quality, continuing education courses bringing together the field expertise of Elanco employees and the academic knowledge of PVM faculty. Course topics include: pharmacology, parasitology, epidemiology and immunology.

These courses will be available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and accessible online to all DVMs and Veterinary Technicians within Indiana, the United States and abroad.

Seven new courses are currently available with more to be developed this year.
