The changes began taking effect as of Wednesday\nmorning, March 18 and will be fully implemented by Friday, March 20.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Purdue Veterinary Hospital is committed to remaining\nopen for those animal patients most in need and will continue to receive urgent\nand emergency cases.&nbsp; As our team of\nveterinarians, veterinary nurses and staff continually work to identify and\nappropriately manage medically necessary cases, they will be reaching out to\nclients with appointments for elective procedures to reschedule those for a\nlater date.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, to help ensure Purdue\u2019s clinicians and staff\ncan safely continue to deliver care to animals, clients will not be permitted\nto accompany their pet into the hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;\nWe will be offering car-side service to our clients, and will utilize\nphone or digital technology to stay connected with clients regarding the care\nof their animals.&nbsp; Exceptions will be\nmade for emergency cases and difficult end of life decisions.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Though the Hospital plans to maintain a level of urgent and\nemergency services, it is possible that in the future we will have to enact\nfurther restrictions to help maintain the health of our community as we continue\nproviding quality care to our patients.&nbsp; We\nwill update this web-page as additional changes become necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recognize that these actions may cause inconvenience and\ndistress for some of our clients.&nbsp; We are\ncommitted to being a resource for our community during this challenging time\nand appreciate your understanding.&nbsp;
