A total of eight doctors have joined the\n<a href=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital<\/a> to complete a one-year rotating\nsmall animal medicine and surgery internship. The Centaur Equine Specialty\nHospital, which is the College\u2019s satellite facility located in Shelbyville,\nInd., also welcomed a large animal medicine and surgery intern.&nbsp; The clinical internship program is designed\nto provide advanced training to qualify each doctor for an approved residency\nprogram leading to board certification in a recognized veterinary specialty.\nThe new cohort began Monday, June 17, with the doctors undergoing an intensive\ntwo-week orientation before beginning work in the clinics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also beginning this month is Purdue Veterinary Medicine\u2019s\nnew Wasson Veterinary Pharmacy Resident, Alexandria \u201cAlex\u201d Gochenauer, PharmD.
