Megan graduated from Purdue University\u2019s Wildlife Biology program with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2017. Her interest in wildlife rehabilitation and zoo education led her to pursue a career in veterinary nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Megan chose Purdue\nUniversity because it is one of four veterinary colleges that educates both veterinary\nnursing and DVM students together. After her experience as an undergraduate student,\nshe knew she loved the atmosphere on Purdue\u2019s campus. Megan is confident in the\neducation she is receiving at Purdue University because she believes that the\nVeterinary Nursing Program prepares students best for their future careers. She\nloves how faculty and staff always are available for sharing ideas and giving advice\non academic and career topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Megan is proud to be a part\nof the PVM family and enjoys the many opportunities to get involved, network,\nand explore interests. She says her involvement in VNSO has provided a great\nopportunity for her to meet other students and professionals in her field of\ninterest. VNSO also has shown her the many career paths that are available for\nveterinary nurses. In addition, she loves the social events and meet-ups with\nstudents outside of Lynn Hall through skip-a-meals, volunteer activities,\nevents, and field trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Megan is passionate about\nrescue and rehabilitation. She always has a foster dog in her house and\ncurrently has two living with her. Since she has a degree in wildlife biology,\nshe is driven to enjoy spending time outside to observe and explore. Upon graduation,\nMegan is interested in pursuing a career in animal rehabilitation and rescue or\nzoo medicine.
