Veterinarians and engineers at the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine developed the tool to bring clarity to an elusive condition. Behind lameness, respiratory issues are the second-leading cause of an equine athlete\u2019s poor performance, but symptoms are subtle and difficult to spot. The technology is providing answers for owners who begin to question why their horse is slowing down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Purdue says Indiana\u2019s equine industry is an important piece of the state\u2019s economy, generating about $2 billion annually.
