The fiscal year that ended June 30 of 2026 was a landmark year for the College of Veterinary Medicine, marked by exceptional generosity and meaningful engagement from our alumni, friends, and supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the highlights was the inaugural Dean’s Dinner of Distinction<\/strong>, when the college welcomed more than 180 guests, filling the event to capacity. As detailed in the related story in this issue<\/a> of the PVM Report, the evening provided a special opportunity to celebrate the remarkable alumni and donors who continue to advance the college’s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks to the generosity of our donor community, the college closed the fiscal year with more than $14 million in gifts<\/strong>, surpassing our ambitious $12 million stretch goal. This success included 38 major gifts<\/strong> from alumni, friends, and clients, reflecting strong confidence in the future of Purdue Veterinary Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Building relationships remained a top priority throughout the year. Together, Senior Director of Development April Shepherd, and Development Officer Makena Zila, conducted 173 in-person visits<\/strong> with alumni and supporters, strengthening connections and creating new opportunities for philanthropic partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A standout moment of the year was the Purdue Day of Giving<\/strong>, which delivered unprecedented results for the college by raising more than $5.95 million.<\/strong> That amount <\/strong>earned the college fourth place on the university’s Donation Leaderboard<\/strong>. The total represented a 260% increase<\/strong> over the previous year’s Day of Giving, demonstrating the extraordinary impact that our alumni and supporters have when they come together to invest in the College of Veterinary Medicine\u2019s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These achievements reflect the dedication and generosity of our entire Purdue Veterinary Medicine community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
